Text Box: Named in honor of lifetime Carter County resident & Museum Patron, Mr. Lee Castleberry in appreciation for his many contributions over the years to both the Museum and in the art of Taxidermy.
Mr. Castleberry lifetime interest in taxidermy has resulted in the preservation of much of the area's natural wildlife for all to enjoy.
Much of his work can be seen throughout the Museum.
The Lee Castleberry Memorial "Natural Habitat Room" depicts only a small variety of the abundant wildlife that can be found in Southeastern Montana.

Some of the largest herds of Mule Ear Deer, Antelope and some White Tail Deer are found in the Custer National Forest and adjacent prairies of Southeastern Montana. In recent years some Mountain Lions and a large number of Elk have returned to make this area of Montana their home. Thanks to a renewed interest of some area ranchers, the Monarch of the Prairie -  the Buffalo can once again be seen, only in much smaller herds. Many fowl such as Pheasants, Prairie Chickens, Grouse, and Canadian Geese are also at home here.

                                                                                            Text Box: Antelope
